Free “Automagical” Effect Mappings for FLKey Controllers!

Have you ever wished that you had the same “auto-magical” control over effects with your FLKey keyboard that you have over instrument plugins in FL Studio?

Thanks to talented FL Studio scripting forum member “Mr Freak 208”, we now have a growing number of effects from both Image-Line and third-party effects developers!

Now, some of the native effects cry out for this kind of hardware control (I am looking at you 7 Band Equaliser, Fruity limiter, Frequency Splitter and “Flangus” to name but 4 ) others are so complex that we really want more than 8 knobs to do them justice – with these I have tried to map the most useful parameters (NB this has and is an iterative process!). Still others by their nature are just not suited to control by 8 knobs (patcher and Control Surface are good examples, as are the excellent “Big Clock” and “DB Meter”).

So let’s start with the built-in effects in FL Studio courtesy of the excellent FL Studio “help” system (all of these now have “auto-magical” plugin control from any Novation FLKey keyboard)
