My Control Surface doesn’t have an extender available – what options do I have?

Nowadays a lot of manufacturers recognise that over time musicians and producers alike are going to want to move up from the initial 8 mixer tracks that come as a part of their control surface and move up to 16, 24 or 32 tracks.

But what if your Control Surface manufacturer doesn’t make an extender device? Such is the case with the Presonus Faderport 8 and also the new UF8 from Solid State Logic.

Here I take a look at using an extender from a different manufacturer with the UF8 and Faderport 8 respectively:
